Officials. Argh

Government officials and banks irritate me today. Firstly, when applying for a permanent residency under the grounds of marriage, I have received several letters from government bodies with the prefix “Miss“. I mean, is that supposed to be funny? If you’re not sure about it, leave it out completely, thank you.

Then they want statutory declarations of your relationship being real from Australian citizens. Of migrants. Like us, we don’t have friends here yet, apart from the family, but there’s plenty back in Finland. I don’t know if they approve citizen declaration if it’s certified by a Finnish person, I suppose, but still, it’s a bit funny.

And banks. International money transfers here. I’m glad there is an internet bank to use, but they made the international money transfer so tricky, that it’s amazing if we get anything paid back at home. (We still have some running costs there, like loan payment and car insurance until my dad sells the car… Seems to be tricky.) Luckily it was mostly the setting the account up for it, but blaah. Maybe I’m just used to getting things done easy.

Okay, I need to get dressed. :D I wish I didn’t have to, but it’s freezing cold in here and there’s delivery guys to be expected during the day so I suppose I have to. :(
