I am a Finnish woman married to an Australian & living in Tasmania. I am a bridal fashion designer, own a dog and collect Barbie-dolls. I love to write, and have been writing for fun since I was 8-years old. I've been online since 1998, it was love at first click.
Oh and just to let you know; this blog is set to follow links. :)
This post probably isn’t relevant to most people. I just feel compelled to write about it, because every now and then, I come across people who expect to be treated without respect and when they feel empowered they declare they require respect. On the rare occasion that I have been treated with disrespect, I have never felt anger. I have felt surprised, amazed and superior. Yes… Superior. Because, from where I stand, people who treat others without respect have something wrong with them. Something seriously wrong. They probably haven’t been taught how people normally treat each other, and that’s of course not a fault of their own, but I still feel like asking them this question: “What on earth possesses you to say/do such thing? Are you DAFT?” Often I do ask the question if I’m being disrespected online, but at those times I usually notice that the email address wasn’t real, so I wasted my breath. So they do know they are behaving badly, but for some reason, they still feel the need of doing that. First I typed that they just don’t care, but if they didn’t care, they would use their own name doing that, and most often, they don’t. So they probably are ashamed of their behaviour, but they still do it. They still have the need to do it. I find it very fascinating. (more…)
I was reading this old post about not watching the news and why it’s bad for the society if you do. Sounds kind of weird, doesn’t it? The explanation will sound weird to most of you as well, but for some of you this makes perfect sense. The vibrations you send to the universe will create more of the same. Imagine what power the vibrations of the whole country will produce in front of the news. (more…)
I’ve been “shopping around” for a wedding gown. I am not getting married nor are we renewing our vows, but as I am planning a wedding dress business, I need to check out the competition. While searching, I noticed that the terms in bridal fashion are quite rubbery, and it’s easy to be misguided if you are not quite sure what the terms mean. (more…)
I am really good at misplacing stuff. But then again, I’m quite a wiz at finding it again. I’m a messy person, so I have developed an eye for missing items, let’s say a brush underneath a pile of paper or the sort. I’ve also created a good eye for “could it possibly fit in there” -estimates.
One of my best findings was a prescription that I had misplaced after filling the previous dosage of the medicine. Three months in between, and I had put the piece of paper in the wrong place to start with. It took me two days, but I found it in the end. It was in the pharmacy plastic bag that was stuffed in the reusable plastic bags -drawer we had. (more…)
