Still, I have to say, there is some comments made by people outside the US that are very stereotypical and based only on what the media shows them of America. These same people usually haven’t ever been here and have no desire to come here, yet still spew their misconceptions all over. Thoese people need to chill and learn not to spew their ignorance about what they have no experience with except from waht their media tells them.

For example…if Barack Obama gets elected he will not be “killed by the US government because he is black and the government hates blacks”. I cannot tell you how many 17-22 year old men in Europe have told me this bit of nonsense.

Also not “everyone in the US owns a gun”. I can count on 5 fingers the number of people I know, and have known in my 36 years,who own a gun andthree of them only because they are/were in the military or a hunter. EVERY SINGLE EUROPEAN I have spoken to in recent years holds this “everyone has a gun in America” as truth when it is not.

America isn’t the only place that has ignorant, arrogant, citizens.

I do feel better now, it always makes things better after venting.. But it has a habit of returning on regular basis. The idea that any country is the best one because you were born in it, is hardly a unique one, but what is unique about Americans, that a lot of them actually believe it without reservation. There is only one area in the world other than USA, that believes that even stronger - the middle east. Hardly not a recommendation for the attitude.
