Oh! your blog has ads too but so perfectly placed; they blend easily with this blog. I had even suggested in my recent guest post on One Cool Site that spatial aspects of ads are ignored by bloggers. I am glad you are not one of them.
I too love Guestbooks; I had tried three: smartgb, Slide and a simple page (as suggested above. Most people commented on the about me page itself; so I removed it.

I just added that spam counter a couple of days ago, as it is the only counter that shows a steady climb up.
You’re right about ads, they can be quite an eye sore but they don’t need to be. The template wasn’t my own design, even though I’ve edited it a bit, and one of the reasons I liked it was the clean placement of the ad boxes.
